A sweat shop for a trend.

Pros

-Good starter job -If you love styling or up-dos

Cons

-Very poor management -Stylists unappreciated and mocked -No breaks on busy days and always overbooked -No benefits or career advancement -Go to the extreme for a customer no matter how ridiculous the situation is, even if it is to break their own rules. Ex: dogs in the salon -The company is trying to run a "high-end" salon on a McDonald's wage -The hair tools are always breaking -No time and a half -Rotates employees in and out quickly

Pros

Fun co workers, a little exposure and free snacks

Cons

Management is terrible. Stylist are so underpaid it's reductions. They are basically running a sweat shop and make you feel replaceable

Poor Pay and Poor Hours

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Friendly coworkers and snacks. Busy environment.

Cons

Pay was only $8 an hour with no raises or opportunity for advancement. No commission and reception was paid more than stylists. Only part time hours were offered so they could get around offering benefits. Constantly busy, which is good, however, there was an inconsistent schedule so we were constantly running behind with clients. Not many repeat clients.
