      Good opportunities and work environment, but recession has taken a toll

      Pros

      - Decent pay and benefits - Management supports work/life balance for employees - Multiple career paths and unique work opportunities - Open communication from senior management on the status of the company - Involved in cutting edge research with biotechnology and alternative energy

      Cons

      - Recession has had a large impact on most of the company. Some product lines and sites have an uncertain future. - Previous senior management did not make the best decisions for the company. This appears to be turning around under Ellen's leadership, but time will tell.

      Good overall experience. Plenty of career opportunities. Friendly laid-back atmosphere. If you like chemical industry that is the right place

      Average age is around 50. Overall manufacturing perspective is not bright. old fashioned engineering owed company. Not the most glamourous job

      Pros

      Great benefits. Some incredibly smart people work here.

      Cons

      Long-serving employees are institutionalized, have a back-stabbing attitude and protect turf jealously. They're suspicious of newcomers and treat outsiders as inferiors, but this seems to be out of a sense of insecurity. Never felt less welcome at a place of employment.
