Pros

Safety is "in front" of people. Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reviews are held. Employees manage many safety committees and responsibilities.

Cons

Benefits are quickly going away. Pay is flat line at best. People feel disrespected and 'taken advantage' of each day. When management says" if you don't like it, leave" then harmony and trust are broken.

Pros

Stable company, unlimited opportunities and smart coworkers. CR&D is a great place to work.

Cons

Red tape, safety focus is overrated, working at comparable company now and they do not have any more safety incidents despite not having safety meetings and inspections. CR&D is disconnected from businesses and it is hard to make a great impact. Principal Investigators are pushed into management within five years of joining.

Pros

Once you are in at DuPont, you can feel very secure in your job. Layoffs are limited and it's very hard to get fired. Pay and benefits are good.

Cons

Some areas of the company treat scientists without PhDs poorly. There is a lack of communication between the parts of the company. Corporate directives are not followed equally throughout the company.
