Pros

Pros are in the past - it was once a stable, technology-focused company that paid well and provided good benefits. Pay is still competitive, if you can keep your job.

Cons

Very uncertain future - DuPont will not exist in a few months. After being taken up by Dow, the DuPont businesses will be divided and/or sold off. Not a good outlook for current or future employees - I am one of many casualties of what appears to be a model of buying technology rather than developing it.

Pros

Very knowledgeable and intelligent co-workers. Has unique technology and a history of great product applications development. Good focus on work-life balance.

Cons

Very heavy company focus on shareholder return, effects decision making quarter to quarter. Non-competitive pay in gulf coast environment.
