Pros

There is free coffee and food.

Cons

Terrible management who could care less as long as they get their bonuses. People lie and step on each other to get their own promotion. Do NOT take this job. Terrible attitude from management and terrible environment.

Pros

Outstanding mission focused workplace. Dedicated, humble and talented colleagues. Meritocracy - great work leads to opportunity. Plain and simple. There is not a rigid hierarchy that creates huge egos and suppresses growth. Pace of work is fast but that has created growth for hundreds of employees over the years. New job titles and promotions are constantly being created as the company grows. This is a growth company and a dynamic place and concerns about understaffing and work loads are nothing compared to the enormous upside opportunity that results from healthy business growth. This is far far better than having it easy in a stagnate business. The work is rewarding, benefits higher ed in America and is focused on outstanding client service. I am shocked by comments about the leadership team being stuffy or old Richmond - many on the leadership team are not from Richmond! and they offer progressive and traditional solutions to the culture and business needs. This place is full of great listeners and teammates. Management does a great job recognizing employees with quarterly awards, special events and a generous number of bonus days off. We see a lot of boomerangs at Royall - folks that leave thinking the grass is greener and wind up coming back with a much greater appreciation for the business

Cons

Integration from mergers has been challenging at times. Pace of growth sometimes leads to disorganized roll outs of new initiatives across departments.

Pros

If you're under 35, this is a great place to start. Company culture is fun and lots of intelligent people work here. I travel consistently for work and company takes good care of employees on the road.

Cons

In service delivery, work/life balance is not great. A lot of housekeeping tasks arise that add busy work to your plate. Pay is below market rate. You're incentivized on health of member relationship but sometimes that score is hurt by factors outside of your control.
