Bad Company for field techs

The benefits here are decent especially medical

Cons

The job is not worth the pay. The scheduling is horrendous. Half the time you get a call in the middle of the day saying they need you at another site while you are trying to keep up with two sites already. Drive your own vehicle. ECS takes on more jobs than the techs can cover but expects the techs to know everything about every site. Next day reports are not awful but annoying.

I don’t have anything good to say.

Cons

Management is poor. Severe lack of communication and disrespectful to employees. I was told I was going to have a mentor in the contract I signed. I was never given a mentor. Hours are awful. I worked late (10-11 hour days) most days. 60 hour work weeks and work on Saturday are frequent. Vacation days are severely limited. The culture of the office is work centered 24/7. There is no room to get to know your co-workers and bond with them. If you’re not talking about work, you’re not talking at all. Safety is a major concern. Every day I went to work I was concerned about my safety.
