There is plenty of room for small raises within the firm is you stick around and have a willingness to learn and succeed. Regular classes arm you with the knowledge you need to pass exams and become a more qualified technician. The benefits package is also not bad for full time employees.

Cons

Technicians are not effectively field trained before being sent out on jobsites solo. Mistakes in sampling and data collection are fairly often occurrence and many times a Technicians job is a learn as you go by making mistakes type of job. It becomes important for the tech to frequently contact the Project Manager while keeping pace with the busy environment on the jobsite.
