Getting to work outside in the fresh air.
Cons
1. Waiting on mileage reimbursement, 2. being forced to take a company truck on drives that you would make more on mileage 3. No set schedule for working day shift or night shift 4. Last minute calls before you get home saying you need to be covering the concrete pour that's happening that night 5. Being overworked one week and have minimal hours the next so you don't go over time on your pay period 6. Terrible software works 75% of the time to upload your mandatory reports 7. Safety meetings that pull you back in the office when you're on a job that's not finished, but you better not miss both 8. Dramatic criticism from the soils lab about work done in the field 9. Not being recognized in pay for inspections outside of your certifications/qualifications 10. You can take a company truck but you can't take that company truck home.
