Large amount of autonomy and fun

Pros

Great amount of autonomy given to its employees no matter the level. If you perform and are a people person, you will succeed and have fun.

Cons

You have to forge your own career path. For self-starters and those that don't mind ambiguity, it is fine and even fun. For those who want to know their "path," it may be frustrating.

Chaotic

Pros

Young and international (although too many swedes in key positions) Hands-on Dedicated People can be helpful, if you are good at networking.

Cons

Processes are chaotic for such a big company, salaries are low, there's no training or development, emphasis is on quantity rather than quality. Communication is terrible or non-existent. Work-life balance non-existent. No attention to detail Unrealistic expectations

Pros

Great product and methodology. Fun coworkers and nice locations. Great opportunities and resources for self training. Work environment is clean, good and to a certain standard. Many competitors can't offer as good of a quality of life (hours and pay aside) for foreigners or locals alike.

Cons

Management outside the biggest cities in China is petty and blind to problems faced by staff or the negative impact on staff of certain policy initiatives. EF sets the lower limit of the salary range for various positions.
