Pros

EF has a great company culture. There are lots of international possibilities for work and travel for work. Fun, young work environment. Most people have a very positive and open minded attitude. People work hard, but it's worth it. Work hard, play hard is the attitude here.

Cons

The managers provide little guidance and you thus have to figure out a lot on your own. People move fast from job to job, so little stability. These two things probably go hand in hand.

Pros

The pros were the amazing opportunity to live in China. The kids were awesome. Not really a steady date for when we got paid, but it came every month at the end of the month. Ranging from the 25th to 30th of each month. The good thing is we were always paid, just didn't know the exact date it would hit our account.

Cons

There are long working hours. You don't get weekends off or all holidays. Often the education aspect is lost in the hunger for making money. Which I understand, seeing how its a for profit company. At the same time its nice to feel accepted and appreciated as teachers. Often we are overlooked. For the amount of work we do the compensation is low. It feels like they don't value retention when it comes to Teachers. It seems as if they feel they can just hire new teachers. I saw 12 teachers leave in my 1 year at EF. That's insane!
