Pros

ESI is a force to be reckoned with, Being part of the recruiting team here has been one of the best accomplishments in my career. Our impact on our community and our employees is honestly inspiring. The encouragement and possibilities around growth, keeping you challenged and pushing you forward for development and working along side of some awesome people are definitely pros. Our compensation is very competitive, we also cover 100% paid medical for our employees and their families. This is a huge savings annually and truly makes a big impact to all of us. I can go on and on about our PROS. Mostly getting to know all the individuals within our amazing industry truly is so life changing, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to hear their stories, sacrifices and passion of WHY they are in Construction.

Cons

I wish I had some to share. No, we're not perfect... But we grow from our mistakes and do all we can to stay collaborative, open minded and have crucial conversations when needed to resolve conflict or miscommunications. Maybe we could raise our 401k from 4% to a much higher percentage. =)

Pros

Talented Coworkers Opportunities to gain experience in the construction industry

Cons

Would give ZERO STARS if allowed - My experience like many others at ESI Construction was, unfortunately, very negative due to the overall company culture. While the organization promotes values like being “dedicated, dependable, and dynamic,” those values are not consistently reflected in how employees are treated. There is a noticeable pattern of high turnover, with many employees choosing to leave or being pushed out. The environment often feels driven by optics rather than genuine support or development. Employees may feel pressure to fully align with leadership perspectives, and those who don’t can find themselves on the outside quickly. Job security can feel uncertain. In some cases, when employees give notice, they are asked to leave immediately rather than being allowed to complete a transition period. This creates an atmosphere of instability and distrust. HR does not function as a neutral support system for employees. Concerns raised are often perceived as being handled in the company’s best interest rather than the employee’s, which can discourage open communication. Overall, there are talented and hardworking individuals at the company, but the culture and leadership approach make it difficult to thrive long-term. Toxic and high-pressure culture High turnover and low sense of job security Leadership does not consistently reflect stated values HR is not perceived as an advocate for employees

Pros

The corporation as a whole says all the right things about “teamwork” and “productive workplaces…”

Cons

The golden architectural firm is run by a passive aggressive old boomer who treats people like garbage when it suits his petty little needs, and he will do it in front of everybody there - I’ve seen him do it to the same person three times in one week. (PS he says that they are a revit firm but he really wants everyone to stay in AutoCAD. You will have zero support from the upper management at the mothership. After making the sweet promises they will leave you with this geriatric disaster.
