Pros

Discount Better schedule than most retailers. You can worm 8-4pm shifts most days

Cons

I wish I could give 0 stars. This company does not fulfill its lofty promises when you first come on board. You're promised lots of growth opportunity, and to be part of a bigger mission to help moms feel beautiful. It is true that the company cares.... they care about making money, pushing extremely agressively sales goals, and they care about treating the customers NOT the employees well. This is an extremely toxic company. There is a lot expected of you, with absolutely no training. We maybe had 2 visits from our District Manager in a year. When I was brought in I was thrown an onboarding packet, and told "sometimes it's better to be thrown in before you feel ready. That's how you learn quickly". Thus is very much a sink or swim mentality. Also, the leadership team (district managers and regionals) have very low integrity and don't support the decisions of the leadership team. We had a lot of HR issues with a full time manager (I mean a lot) and we were told "well the numbers are there.." I mean seriously... the numbers are there so you can belittle your team at work?

Pros

The shifts are short, only 4 hours. We are encouraged to try on every item to measure fit to be better informed to style customers. I do like the company's efforts to form deeper relationships with the customers. My wardrobe has improved. I get great satisfaction when I really connect with a mom while styling her.

Cons

The prices are very high, which makes it difficult to style moms from all stages and socioeconomic ranges. The push to get moms to pay $300 for one pair of ripped up jeans and $60 for a thin t shirt is ridiculous. The clothes also fit a very small spectrum of body types and heavier moms are overlooked and leave the store very discouraged. I thought I'd be working with other moms, but am instead working primarily with young college students who are disinterested in moms and women over a certain age (including coworkers) plus it's inconsistent with the brand.

Pros

Great company to work for! Team oriented with a focus on pushing and encouraging one another to succeed. The stylist created such a fun and energetic feeling for customers and workers. It felt like a party in stead of work.

Cons

Upper management needs to be more involved in understanding the needs of their employees. Managers need to check their attitude at the door and not take out their frustration on their employees by belittling them.
