Bullying and harassment in the Transportation Planning Department of Brampton office. Highly incompetent Manager and former manager (retired) of the aforementioned department. Such people create an environment of xenophobia and VP’s are far away from the reality and actually pampers them.
Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote). Great mentoring and encouragement for young staff to learn. Support from management on continuing education, participating in industry committees, and making presentations at industry events. Variety of projects, with lots of upside for group to expand in more markets.
Cons
The Chicago transportation group is growing rapidly. At times, stretched staff might have to work longer hours to meet project deadlines (this is probably consistent across the industry). The overall average throughout an entire year is probably 45 hours/wk.
Incentive bonus for winning projects with new clients
Cons
Terrible management; No overtime pay was given; Invasion of privacy; Experienced Sexual Harassment by Upper Male Management; Job expectations were nothing related to the actual job that I applied for; If you're a woman, expect to receive uncomfortable and harassing comments
