About what I expected

Pros

Lots of good learning opportunities.

Cons

Life at EY (and the other Big 4 firms, from what I gather) depends almost entirely on the team you are assigned to. The cons for my team are: lack of flexibility, not a friendly environment, and a team culture that does not promote innovative thinking.

Pros

Good brand recognition Good office location Good internal resources

Cons

No work life balance Diversity and inclusiveness provide a good marketing platform, but reality is not as promised, which is evidenced by the ratio of minority employees relative to minority employees that receive promotions and the coveted title of partner At times, leadership is not aligned with promised company values Harassment (bordering on abuse), offensive language (at an egregious level), offensive behavior (beyond unprofessional), are tolerated depending on the status of the offender and political capital Logically based on the previous statement, favoritism is rampant and highly visible Unlimited sick days only means you get to work from home

I used to love it here

Pros

Good healthcare, opportunities to travel

Cons

Everyday someone complains about being here and we have countdowns on calendars around the office. I used to love this place but recently it's so frustrating, you don't get taught, you can't grow, you're undervalued, typically overworked, or you sit and watch paint dry faster than the day drags on, schedulers blame you for having no work, management makes you eat time but your promotion depends on your utilization, you're wayyy underpaid and the end of the year comes and you have to really give yourself a pep talk to even make it another 6 months
