Pros

Great benefits with unlimited PTO, $1000 Wellbeing Fund, flexible remote work. Busy season (usually about 3 months) requires working overtime but the rest of the year is pretty standard hours. Depending on your team/client it might be more or less. Looks really good on a resume and helps with moving to diff companies. Teams are generally nice to work with and easygoing (depends). The work generally isn’t stressful except during deadlines.

Cons

Niche work with not a lot of room for growth or creativity in your first few years. You’ll mostly just be documenting things with little understanding of why (unless you really go out of your way to ask/research/find out), but most teams are too busy to explain things in detail anyway so it’s difficult to learn from them. Also, pay-wise (imo) it’s not really worth the hours once you pass Staff 2. As a senior you’re expected to work 50-60 hrs on a normal week and even more in busy season, but your raise is not that much and you can definitely make more money elsewhere with 2-3 years of experience.
