Pros

Often you get to travel and expense your weekly meals. Decent benefits.

Cons

The performance review process is very long and tedious and despite the heavy process and paperwork required it fails to truly grow people and their careers. In the end of the day, the ratings are 'calibrated' to a statistical curve behind the closed doors.

Pros

Office location is right on the lake, beautiful view every morning. Everyone is always so nice and helpful, especially to the new staff and interns, Traveling is very frequent, and staying in hotels and eating out becomes a norm (all costs covered). Everyone works as a team, and supports one other; the so called "competitive environment" is non-existent. No one gets annoyed when you ask dumb questions, instead, they appreciate your willingness to ask, and then give very good answers. EY Employee Perks and Benefits are awesome! The Partners are so cool and always have their door open anytime you want to stop by. Everyone is so friendly and comfortable with one another that you can’t tell the staff/ senior from the manager, or the manager from the partner (No hierarchical environment). Differences among employees are embraced and accepted. Employees are always open to learning new things about different cultures and traditions. Everyone is so nice!

Cons

No free parking. Most of the work involves using a computer and staring at a screen for most of the workday, which is something i need to get used to. But other than that, I really cant think of anything else.

Pros

Lots of vacation and time off. Decent health benefits. 401(k) match. If you are client service the pay can be good.

Cons

Pension plan was just gutted. Pay inequality for women of a certain age (mid-40s) who took time off for maternity leave - 20-30% salary disparity compared to male co-workers. Ratings system is anachronistic - your group is graded on a bell curve - even if only 10 people in your group, that means someone has to get low ratings.
