Pros

The firm respects people as individuals and offers the opportunities for individuals to shape their own careers in the areas most interested to them. Ernst and Young supports mobility in allowing employees to move between regional and country offices. Ernst and Young provides high quality training for all its staff and sponsors specialist training from external providers as and when necessary. Ernst and Young sponsors its employess to obtain and retain necessary qualifications.

Cons

Staff are expected to work long hours during busy project times and this may include working weekends. It may be difficult to leave particular projects if the project team are unable to find a suitable replacement or the client does not want this to happen.

Pros

GREAT PEOPLE!!!! Flexible environment. Fast learning curve. Treat you like a professional. Will give you all you can handle. You are truly in charge of your career. People really are first. Honest firm - I've encountered many situations where I am proud to say EY really did the right thing, despite how difficult it may be!

Cons

No sure of my career path - I was before moving into APT. But, now it isn't as clearly defined as it was in client service. You have to work a number of hours - endless hours. However, this is known before really starting with EY, so, you expect it.

Pros

I enjoy working at Ernst & Young because I feel that I am getting a lot of experience with various clients. I also really like the people I work with and feel that they are very helpful and friendly. I also like the structure of the company and that you can grow within the company fairly quickly.

Cons

Some of the downsides of working for Ernst & Young are longer hours and stress levels during busy season.
