Pros

Excellent firm resources, very geared towards PC environment & strong work-life balance, tons of training, good name (depending on which practice group you're in)

Cons

Way too PC (was waiting for the Kool-Aid and sing-along); pay is way lower than peer firms; promotions are political and reviews are far from objective. Review process has good intentions, but your review/career procees is in the hands of a counseler who "pitches" your review before a large crowd. If the fight hard for you, you have a shot. If they just don't care, you stagnate.

Pros

Looks good on your resume. The coworkers who haven't burned out yet can be enjoyable. The busy season perks in our office were kind of nice - lunches and chair massages on Saturdays.

Cons

Lots of micrrmanagement that would be unnecessary if they'd invest in technology or use the technology that they have. You'll probably end up working for someone who delegates all of the work to you, takes all the credit, and doesn't even understand how much work you put in because they don't even know how it's done anymore.

Pros

No good reasons to work at Ernst & Young Global.

Cons

Everything. Policies are just rhetoric. It is a sweat shop and with all things being equal one of the worst among the big 4 accounting firms. Pay and compensation are not comparable to other big 4. Career experiences are not valued by the firm. Loyalty is not considered to be important. Morale is only considered for those included in the 'clique' EY is very immature and high schoolish in terms of promotion. Work/Life Balance is just rhetoric.
