Pros

Other staff that aren’t management.

Cons

Honestly one of the worst places I’ve ever worked. Steer clear if at all possible. Management is toxic, manipulative and frankly just plain rude. Their tactics are inappropriate and they don’t care about you even though you’re “family”. Unemployment might honestly be preferable.

Pros

I'll preface my review with this: I've waited more than a year to write this, to be in a clearer headspace and effort objectivity in my observations of the work environment. This place pushed me to the precipice of a mental breakdown, and in the wake of my departure I've required months of therapy to be back to my former self. So, pros you ask? NONE.

Cons

What I have to say very much mirrors what others have posted: Mercurial and feckless leadership, rudderless "vision," acerbic and toxic work environment, just to name a few. Favoritism and nepotism run amok and destroy any illusion of a professional environment. Leadership is notorious for caustic "reply all" emails, blaming subordinates for their own failures, and usurping your accomplishments for their own. It's very Machiavellian at Earth Day. If you will want to work at a mission-driven organization that does good for the world (especially around environmental and climate issues), this is not the place for you. Please don't read these reviews and think your experience will be any different. It won't. Also...just a side note, most of the five star reviews are from interns, read into that what you will.

A traumatic and toxic experience

Pros

The middle level staff were all excellent, motivated and creative people. I loved working with the programmatic staff and they were the only thing I regretted in leaving.

Cons

The management was toxic, unimaginative and ignorant. They created a workplace that was oppressive and littered with comments that were extremely inappropriate for a workplace re age, diversity, health issues, etc. And DEI? Non-existent. Truly a horrible place and experience.
