Pros
While there are some great schools within EBR, mine wasn't one of them. Some faculty were supportive. The benefits were decent.
Cons
Student behavior was horrendous, and there were no procedures in place other than a "time out room" with a max. capacity of about 5 students. Students quickly learn that there are no consequences to bad behavior. Also no reward system for good behavior. Students who were violent and destructive were allowed to remain in the classroom because there was nowhere else for them to go. Principal tried to convince teachers to change student grades so it would appear that performance was better than it actually was, and threatened your job if you refused. Counselor did absolutely nothing and complained when she was asked to talk to a student. Teachers are miserable and feel trapped. Most are simply "serving their time" before they can get into a better district.
