Pros

Work/life balance is a high value. Work ethic, family culture, integrity, and income potential provide a near ideal scenario for a life well-lived.

Cons

Peer company competitive pressure on benefits, particularly healthcare, have recently been a negative, but the hope is that benefits will moderate to a better price point for employees.

Pros

The team work and can-do attitude of the employees makes Eastman a great place to work!

Cons

Due to the company being a large matrixed organization, sometimes changes and approvals can move slowly.

Pros

Eastman is focused on being a safe place to work -- you'll hear a lot about our commitment to safety once you work here. Eastman is also known for being a stable employer. We have a reputation for being a community- and family-friendly company. Eastman is known for being a good place to work. The salary and benefits are competitive, and that's before you take in to account the low cost of living in northeast TN. There are lots of job opportunities, so you can pick-up a variety of experiences during your career. Eastman people work together and look out for each other.

Cons

I agree with the other comments regarding Eastman being hierarchical. I'm sure all companies are like this though, wherein promotions can seem to be based more on who you know than what you do. Eastman _does_ believe in slow and steady promotions and salary increases, however, your compensation is always fair/competitive.
