Pros

You can start in an apprenticeship right out of high school and after four years be making over $30 an hour. Plenty of opportunities for overtime and advancement. I have not made less than $100,000 a year since I have been out here. Plus with the shift schedule you have a built-in seven days off every month.

Cons

A lot of overtime depending on the area you end up in. Can be a lot of overtime depending on the area you end up in. It is also a labor intensive job.
