      Eastman is a great place to work. However, if you are in the sales environment, promotions and raises do not come easy.

      Pros

      Great people, great benefits, great understanding of work and life balance, believes in the "family message", variable compensation bonus plan,

      Cons

      average or slightly lower pay, you must be "in the club" for promotions-not always performance based. Frequent restructing within leadership team. A little rigid in their old ways of doing things and sometimes too worried about "the numbers" as most publicaly traded companies are. Unfortantely, that sometimes sacrafices business relationships and may hurt overall growth in the long run.

      A Co-op's review of "The Eastman"

      Pros

      They take their co-op program very seriously. The plant site in Kingsport is very large so there is a wide array of opportunities for students to gain experience. Mentors and supervisors work hard at helping new employees become acclimated with the environment. You are allowed to work on meaningful projects that are challenging and exciting. Benefits are excellent for a co-op position. The company seems to take very god care of their employees, through encouraging them to improve their health and by allowing flexible work schedules. All of the employees are easy to work with and a joy to be around. Everyone is helpful and polite. Their commitment to safety is outstanding, you can be sure you will be safe as long as you are smart about doing your job.

      Cons

      Not much to say here, if you are OK with living in the middle of nowhere TN.
