Eastman is a growing comapnay and has a lot of opportunities for their employees. Develops employees. Staying focus on their goals. The company values their employees and keeps them informed of how the company is performing.

Cons

Lower grade jobs are being contracted out and there seems to be a lot of turn over in these people.

Pros

A culture that is serious about helping people succeed - not something that you find in many organizations; Challenging work that allows you to make significant contribution to the company; People listen and respect your ideas. The company is in a growth mode and it feels as though there will be great career opportunities in the near and long term.

Cons

The pace of decision-making can be slow. There appears to be a need for a great deal of consensus before people make decisions or a lack of confidence in making decisions. Its also a very process driven organization. Sometimes if feels like process just for process sake, not necessarily a compelling business reason.

Pros

Benefits, vacation time, holiday pay and they train you before turning you loose to do your job. They make sure to have the best wa of doing your job. If you need special tools to do a job or training they will see to it that you get it. Also, Kingsport is a great place to live because of Eastman Chemicals commendment to the community.

Cons

The company handing our health care isn't very good.
