Not a Company For Today's Employees

Pros

If you are selected as the "in" employee, there are tremendous opportunities for advancement, training and pay increases. Unfortunately, one person's opinion can make or break your career, which is not the optimum way to manage employees.

Cons

Pay may not be as good as offered for international companies outside of Kingsport, especially when you consider the overtime necessary to get even average raises. It's maintained a good reputation in the area because it's the biggest game in town, but many people who value their personal and family life may want to look elsewhere for employment. The company expects too much from employees for too little loyalty and pay. HR practices for hiring and firing are lacking for a company that should be world class.
