      Don't expect more than a paycheck

      Pros

      - Decent wages and benefits - Relatively safe for a manufacturing job - Very knowledgeable shop staff

      Cons

      - Management is a revolving door - Leadership has a tendency to try to fix a problem and make it worse in the process - No advancement beyond the shop floor for production staff - Management is clueless to shop processes (may be a positive if you prefer that) - Constant mandatory overtime due to HR mismanagement and misunderstanding of key processes - There is another transformer manufacturing company not even 10 miles away that makes larger units, that pays $5+/hr. more. -A large chunk of the production workers have recently left.

      Pros

      Decent, good people; some talented people you can learn a lot from; pedigree in Aerospace hardware design is useful; you will be asked to do a lot, meaning you will see the bigger picture of the business.

      Cons

      Lack of innovation despite many leaders best efforts; Narcissistic leadership; Poor work/life balance; Safety and quality play second fiddle to monthly shipping targets; A company that wants to be the best but behaves impulsively with little long term focus at the lower levels (business units). Shows a trend of stretching its workforce to the point that overtime is perpetual - it is constant, even for new hires.

      good benefits, college tuition assistance

      Cons

      pay scale confusing, the only way to advance is to help supervisor with projects they are incapable of doing, but went to school for. a look of unesscessary management . HR is not for the people. culture and ethic values are just a front, if someone was to complain you will never advance, instead your labeled trouble maker.
