Pros

Pay is good 401k match is good Health care benefits are good Most of the team is easy to get along with

Cons

St.Louis location future is bleak; we lose staff to job changes and retirement but those positions often are not back filled. In short, our staff is shrinking. The morale is very low these days

OK (ish) place to work, as long as you do not rock the boat.

Pros

1. Fairly relaxed work environment. You will not be bored, but will not be overburdened either. 2. OK work-life balance (still leaks into your personal time, weekends, and holidays). 3. Good pay and a weak pension (but there is a pension). 4. Good placement programs for employees. Takes into account an individuals personality (receive a personality test to see where you would be fit). They also allow you to tour different positions before settling into one. a. This is the best thing I can say about the company.

Cons

1. Very strict hierarchy. Know your place or else. Definitely not a very democratic workplace. a. Not a friendly environment for forward thinkers or those that wish to make a difference. Fall in line or face backlash. b. Challenges to status quo are not well received. Do not rock the boat. 2. Promotions are mostly due to seniority and not accomplishments or knowledge. As a result, most leadership is aging and out of touch. 3. Company handles like an air craft carrier. It takes YEARS to see any meaningful changes in process or direction. a. Red tape that can run all the way to the moon and back. b. Tradition is much more valued over innovation. You will do things just because that is the way they have always been done. c. By the time change is visible, it is already time to start moving again. d. Leaders will spend years talking about change, but do not put resources where their mouth is. Overall: I typical large business that follows outdated processes and is not inclined to change.
