Pros
Mostly friendly supervisors, union facility, pension(for now), educational assistance, no mandatory overtime, double time on Sundays, and air conditioned/heated machine shop.
Cons
Corporate intention to take away our pension, almost zero incentives/rewards for working harder, no merit based promotions/raises/rewards, management and human resources is more concerned with being politically correct then they are with equality. Eaton is great place to work and in general the workforce is composed of friendly and helpful individuals and I really like my job but if you aren't a minority and are dealing with harrassment or bullying by a coworker by someone who is a minority then they are likely to sweep it under the rug, pretend that it isnt happening, or tell you that their investigation didn't produce solid evidence even if they didn't ask any of the people you told them could support the accusation.
