      Knowledge of Industry, qualified colleagues, good innovation culture, good ethics. A lot of opportunities for self-advancement and self-education.

      Pros

      Eaton manages its business in a process-driven, systematic approach and is focused on continuous improvement in everything it does. Eaton measures employee satisfaction annually for ALL employees, and takes action to improve the outcome. Eaton salaries and benefits are competetive. The Eaton Business System ensures consistency of business processes across a wide range of groups, global regions, and divisions. Each employee is responsible for his/her own career path and development planning (with Leaders' input as needed). Communications with employees is open and honest. Eaton has a plan for growth and diversification and is successfully executing the plan.

      Cons

      The process to select employees for RIF, when necessary, seems ambiguous, except for performance issues. Strategy is so important to Eaton that implementation sometimes takes a back seat.

      Eaton pays well and works with individuals with families and children. They are active in the community and support good causes, including employees health and prevention.

      Cons

      You never know when jobs will be moved out of state or to another country. Sometime promotional opportunties are predetermined and appear unfair.
