Pros

Unlimited sick time, 5% 401K matching but be aware 2% of it can be taken back if you don't stay 3 years. Zero deductible medical plan that is about half the monthly premium of other company's HSA's. Decent staring pay but raise at less than inflation.

Cons

Top heavy management that are constantly in meetings. You have to be a company man to get promoted. Constant restructuring, Unrealistic expectations from management, i.e., I have 9 personal goals and 5 team goals this year. Teams are lean and understaffed. If your sick, it's your responsibility to make sure someone can cover work for the day or you better do it yourself. If they can send your job to India or outsource it, they will. Refused to promote a valuable team member to a senior so they left, leaving the team even more short staffed, hired a replacement and gave them the senior title.

Pros

- Pay - Relaxed environment - Cafeteria

Cons

- There is no expertise in e-mobility. Company has no expert engineering focus teams. Many people left the company due to lack of direction and even recent VP hires to save the E-mobility left. - Upper management is really incompetent. When I listen town-halls, it becomes really clear to me that these people have no idea in making money from top-notch engineering products. Projects start, a few months later change direction, a few months later get canceled, a few months later a new team is set up to start a new project. - Company mainly rely on India and a bit on China teams. The US team is almost non-existent right now. There is almost no labs, no teams, nothing in the center of E-Mobility at Southfield, MI. - Recently Eaton left core e-mobility products and laid off some engineering teams. The remaining money-earning products do not warrant a big group structure, so it was put under vehicle group again. This is clearly a failure on upper management, however they got promotion and but laid off engineering teams.

Pros

I loved Eaton as they were the first company to ever give me a chance in the HR field while I was still in my Master's program. It is a manufacturing, power management company so their locations are usually pretty remote or not the best, even the HQ is in Beachwood, OH. The pros are that they do take their HR seriously and the further you move up, the more strategic the work, but the entry level work is pretty grunt. It's just the day to day taking care of a facility kind of work and having to work alongside hourly employees and build a rapport with them so that they trust you and will come to you. The pay is middle of the pack, the benefits package is middle of the pack, their vacation is subpar (start with 2 weeks and after 5 years you get 3 weeks with the opportunity to also purchase a week of vacation by using your own money) and somewhat archaic. Company culture is very laid back but still very serious with its supply chain and the demands necessary for it.

Cons

Vacation time is garbage. The locations are really rough so if you get moved around, there is a huge possibility that you will be placed somewhere in the country or away from larger cities.
