Lose the union

Business Outlook

Pros

-Decent pay for mid level skill set. -Lots of overtime. -Easy work.

Cons

Union presence will squash your desire to work/learn more. So much dead weight due to poorly skilled operators getting paid the same as someone who puts effort in. Extremely frustrating management, supervisors openly say they don't care and put very little effort in. Union is expensive and pushes to sell lottery tickets instead of improving work environment. If you are productive management will work you harder than the person dragging their feet and expect more out of you. Amount of vacation days need to be revised. A coworker can scrap a part that will get a job canceled and they barely get a slap on the wrist. Lack of maintenance on machines makes your job harder. Your input is heard and quickly ignored.
