Review of My Time at Ecolab – A Mixed Experience
I worked at Ecolab for several years and, for much of that time, I genuinely loved my job. The company’s mission, values, and global reputation for excellence made me proud to be part of the team. I had the privilege of working alongside talented, dedicated colleagues who consistently went above and beyond to deliver results and support one another.
However, my experience took a troubling turn due to persistent workplace bullying and intimidation, particularly from managers and regional managers. What began as subtle undermining escalated into what I believe was a deliberate effort at constructive dismissal. Over the past two years, I’ve witnessed a concerning pattern: many respected and experienced team members in the North of England have been forced out under similarly distressing circumstances or are actively looking for other jobs
It’s deeply disappointing, especially given how committed we were to the company and its success. I truly believe that if Ecolab’s head office in the United States were aware of what’s been happening in this region, they would be appalled and take swift action. The culture in our local leadership has diverged sharply from the values Ecolab promotes globally.
I still hold respect for the company as a whole, but I hope this review serves as a wake-up call. No employee should have to endure a toxic work environment, and no company should allow such behavior to go unchecke
