Difficult But Rewarding Working as a GM

Pros

Dealing with a local owner instead of a corporation since all hotels are franchised. The experience you are able to get wearing 100 hats as a hotel gm is priceless.

Cons

The GM position is a lot of hours and different types of work from actually managing to helping with the laundry based off where you're needed. Expect to work anywhere from 50 to 100 hours a week.

-specific head maid is unreliable -maintenance workers sit on their butts all day and get paid more
