A lot of change, 401k niche dried up

Pros

They dominate the 401k money management market share. Decent base pay compared to a Vanguard.

Cons

No other big plans they are bringing in the door and they push to retail by buying The Mutual Fund store and merging recently with Edelman. Current branches are filled with used car salesman and can’t provide “holistic” financial planning as they claim. Edelman could be different we shall see...

Pay was decent but got robbed on bonuses

Cons

Management is horribly unorganized. Training is awful. Their systems are constantly changing so there is no good way to become efficient and then you get thrown under the bus when you aren't. There are about 5 different system's they work with that all do different things and they don't talk to each other. Nothing is streamlined. Makes a CA's job 10x more challenging, needlessly. And the CA is always wrong even if they are working with an FA that is known problem....maybe they need to be reflective on who the common denominator is instead of taking the easy way out and blaming the CA..

Pros

Nothing really. Management believes EVERY incoming phone call should be a sales call. Seriously?!?!

Cons

Management micro manages, management is condescending and believes Will Clark is the best left handed hitter in baseball (if you start working there and get HH as your manager, you'll understand). Benefits offer only 4% match on 401k. Phone rep must meet DAILY metrics or get called out publicly if you don't. No joke!
