Thanks for your review and for your many years of contributions. I'm glad to see you are proud of your/our work and find leadership smart. I also saw your critical comments. I know work life balance ebbs and flows, especially in your Creative roles which are so critical to our success. I'll say that sometimes HR being perceived as slow to react is critical for thoughtful and fair changes. If you ever want to reach out to me directly, please do so that I can learn more. Thanks. Pros

- You get to work with top clients and brands which will look incredible on your resume - Edelman is the top independent agency in the world so this will stand out in your resume - You get to work on many different projects and truly get to do a little bit of everything. From pitching to handling budgets and strategic planning - I met some of my best friends at Edelman - Company does plan activities and parties to keep up morale

Cons

- Only CPG brands, nothing high end or luxury - Some people in management truly don't know how to be team leaders which highly affects morale and this is a big part of why there is such a high turnover rate - The pay is on the low end for industry standard, and not only that but you are working at an incredible capacity that should be complicated accordingly

Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you had a lot of different and valuable work experiences and made good friends here; Our people have always been one of the best things about Edelman! I agree with you that generally retaining staff is more advantageous than turnover and we're always considering this in our employee engagement planning and total rewards offerings. Take care. Pros

Terrific Work-Life Balance. I've always been able to attend my kids' baseball games, school plays etc. without any guilt. Smartest co-workers I've ever had. Everyone is bright and energetic.

Cons

Client uncertainty is always a pressure. Right now, the world is upside down and any company that relies on client programs and revenue is in a similar situation. The current Chicago office wasn't the best in terms of location and amenities but now that matters less and a move is planned next year.

Thanks for your review. I'm so glad you've been able to make all the baseball games and school plays - priceless moments! I 100% agree that managers and direct reports should talk more! We're putting a new platform in place this fall to facilitate ongoing discussions for this reason and I'm very excited about it. I think that will help. Of course, we also encourage talking more without prompts from the firm, something that both manager and employee can and should initiate. If there are other initiatives or projects that you're referring to wanting to discuss more, please make sure to tell your manager you want in! One thing I love about Edelman is it often works to voice your interest in a topic and then become part of the team working on it! We appreciate your feedback. Maria O'Keeffe, US Chief Talent Officer
