Pros

Exposure to a range of decent client work, ability to collaborate with better offices in the network.

Cons

—Very poor overall leadership of the Atlanta office —Immature, insecure, untrained, and gossipy managers —Vindictive, cutthroat, and sabotaging culture among employees that really aren’t that bright —Open marginalization of people of color, with lack of upward mobility or inclusion where they are —Shallow efforts to respond to complaints, if they respond at all —Undisciplined approach to client work —More than a dozen resignations in past 6 months —Lack of appreciation for good talent —NO accountability whatsoever —Hyper-focused on money not people —Lots of obvious favoritism and backstabbing —Local HR team paralyzed with so many complaints/issues —No investment in basic training or professional development —DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE, you’ll regret it if you do.

Pros

Eldeman looks to hire the best and brightest in the industry. Richard is a true innovator in our field.

Cons

In trying to describe the work culture at Edelman, I remember how a very brave woman described the misogynistic and competitive work culture at Uber in 2017. Like her, I was compelled to leave my company because of the atmosphere. But I did feel like it would be important to document what happened for the record, at least by being honest in my exit interview. As a result, HR told me I must be “misinterpreting behaviors” and that they didn’t see a need to look into it or bring it up with the head of human resources at Edelman. It takes a lot for women to come forward, even in an exit interview once they’ve already resigned. Unfortunately, I feel at Edelman, the problem starts at the top, like work culture and ethics typically do. And what happens when the people at the top are not only the biggest offenders but also large revenue generators? After my experience at Edelman, and especially after that exit interview, I could not possibly recommend the firm as a good work environment — especially if you’re a woman.
