Pros

Benefits are great! Pays Well. The team I work with are wonderful. Regardless of your work level. Your still treated the same. Growth opportunities

Cons

Can feel a little cliquey, so I sometimes feel left out. I also do not like that I can not do overtime. For example if I am asked to help with an event I can’t go over 40 hours. If so then I muctnoff set my hours by leaving early on certain days to make sure I stay within 40 hours. Which I find very unfair especially if I am willing to work and help with an event. I shouldn’t have to cut back my hours if that means I want to also help with a client.

Thanks for your feedback! It's so great to hear how much you love working here. I do, too. I understand how frustrating it must be to be told you can't work more hours when you are passionate about what you do and want to. The restrictions you're experiencing are likely due to our legal obligations for non-exempt, overtime-eligible employees, but if you ever don't feel like you're able to produce your best work for our clients within your current schedule, I hope you'll reach out to your manager or HR to discuss options. Thank you again for your review! Maria O'Keeffe, Executive Director, US HR

Pros

Edelman is a fantastic place to begin your career! There's really great trainings, on-boarding for new staff and colleagues are always willing to spend extra time to teach you. There are opportunities to continue learning throughout your time at the company, not just in the beginning, which is great! The people are fantastic and there's a really great camaraderie, especially among junior level staff. The company offers great benefits, perks, holiday time off and fair PTO. If you're working at Edelman, you will certainly collaborate with really amazing, smart people!

Cons

- Unfair pay, especially for junior level staff who are doing a majority of the tactical, day-to-day work. - Some senior staff say that they're collaborative and willing to roll up their sleeves, but actions speak louder than words. - Depending on the team you are on, your title might not be comparable to that of another individual on a different team; certain teams have higher or lower expectations. - The overtime law for non-exempt employees is a good idea in theory when used correctly, but it strongly depends on what team you work on and you don't really get to decide that.
