Pros

Edelman undoubtedly has some of the most vast and widely available resources in the industry. Having everything under one house can be a huge added benefit for your team and clients.

Cons

Up until COVID, Edelman was a place I would recommend to anyone. They valued their employees, offered incredible benefits, listened to people's wishes and complaints, and offered a wide runway to grow your career with a ton of support. Since then, the values and morals of the company have drastically declined year over year. Their completely antiquated review process makes it so that you have to fight tooth and nail for an entire year to get your name thrown in the ring for a promotion. The decision is ultimately up to leadership so far above the candidate, they don't even know them by name. If you're lucky enough to get a promotion, expect to be disappointed. Salaries and bonuses are FAR below the average for NY across all levels. I have a colleague who was at Edelman for 8 years, when she put in her two weeks, they didn't even both with an exit interview to gather feedback from her tenured time there. Leadership has lost it's voice and any direction.

Pros

-My team is great. They are kind, supportive, and ready for work. -A huge emphasis on enviormentalism. -A huge emphasis on commuity groups: Womans group, book clubs, GRIOT, soccer league, etc. -Community days once a month that include food, drinks, etc. -A wide array of account work that allows you to have multiple experiences and expand your career. -The opportunity to work with people on teams around the country and world. -Edelman is such a huge and well-known firm once you leave the firm I am confident you will be well equipped.

Cons

-The salary is low -You can advance but I observed it takes a while for a promotion and even with a promotion the price increase isn't high -Like any firm you can work long hours (although my manager does hear me out to ensure I am not getting burnt out) -Upper management scruntinize timesheet closely -The C suite does not communicate major changes in the company well. There is no transparency between the C Suite and employees.
