Pros

Brand equity, having the name "Edelman" on your resume will provide you with endless career opportunities.

Cons

Average pay for the "world's largest public relations company". I have never before felt as uncomfortable as I feel at Edelman. It doesn't feel like I'm at a world renowned agency when I come into work, it feels like I'm back in high school where immature & unnecessary harassment & bullying take place. It's so "normal" for people to demean & belittle their coworkers, no professionalism at all.

Your observations are concerning and I'd like to better understand your feedback, so it can be addressed quickly. We don't want any employee to feel this way about their office. I encourage you to reach out to your local HR person me directly. I want to help. Maria O'Keeffe, Executive Director, US HR

Pros

Young, fun work environment. Most who work here are intelligent, eloquent and love what they do. There are multiple team bonding activities and events to get to know your peers.

Cons

Top heavy management that rely on junior staff to do their job for half the pay.

Pros

There's actually some nice, fun people here - particularly those who are not in a leadership position, nice office views, lots of events to be a part of. Good client work comes ... but it can also fade out just as quickly.

Cons

If you're creative (designer, art director, writer, etc.), you may not feel at home here. While some account leads are great to work with, others weld too much power on how the work is done - instead of letting creatives truly own the work. There's a mission around the network to change things, but it's been a slow uphill battle depending on the office you land in. I've seen a number of talented people come in excited, quickly see the writing on the wall, get discouraged when they can't change things and then leave. Leadership is hit and miss. Too much meaningless politics at times.
