Pros

Decent benefits and competitive pay. That's about all that is good.

Cons

After serving Eden's communities for over 5 years, I was fired because of someone else's word against my own. I worked under 5 different Supervisors and overall employee turnover was high. Management was very condescending to everyone and gave no support when needed. I assisted others, but did not receive help myself when requested. Eden Would never have your back if it came down to it, they are not supportive at all. They do not provide adequate new hire training and employees are thrown in to figure the job out. There is no mentor system. The top management sets the tone and their tone creates bad morale.

Pros

Excellent benefits, salary and housing possibilities for managers, assistant managers and maintenance staff. Outstanding CEO, Resident Services staff and resources for residents.

Cons

Property Supervisors will be the downfall of Eden Housing. There are a couple that are professional, great mentors and provide excellent leadership and guidance. But the majority only promote family, friends, friends of family and their pets. Hard working and ethical people are overlooked by management all of the time. At my time at Eden I saw supervisors talk down, lie, harass, intimidate, threaten their employees. When you reach out to HR they provide little if any assistance at all, and end up turning the situation around on the employees. The COO is one of the hardest, cutthroat, belittling, condescending and ruthless person I've ever encountered in my life. You don't ever want to be on her bad side. It's a very political company, at times the company worried more about looking good and than doing good.

Pros

Open communication, regular performance feedback, genuine concern for those with disabilities and limitations. Eden enables those with limited experience/education to learn new skills and develop meaningful careers while helping to build strong communities in challenging situations.

Cons

Employees need to have a car and may need to travel between cites vs. rely on public transportation. Benefits coverage for family members must be paid for by the employee vs. by the company.
