Pros
Some independent departments have good team cohesion and chemistry. Make an effort to keep things social with frequent company lunches.
Cons
Communication or collaboration are really lacking. Micromanagement owner runs a command-and-control operation with communications withing the company discouraged. Reinvestment in the company is dramatically below what is required for the company to stay competitive. Engineering (product development) and sales & marketing are way underfunded with little or no market-focused direction.
