If you are desperate enough to take a lower than average pay base and willing to be mislead with total compensation and culture then have at it. I’d recommend working at McDonald’s before trusting these clowns.
Relaxed and sometimes fun environment, continues to get more structured and up-to-date, offers help to further education, low pressure and stress, good work/life balance
Cons
Low pay, lacking communication and receptiveness to ideas, poor moral, few opportunities to grow
Some independent departments have good team cohesion and chemistry. Make an effort to keep things social with frequent company lunches.
Cons
Communication or collaboration are really lacking. Micromanagement owner runs a command-and-control operation with communications withing the company discouraged. Reinvestment in the company is dramatically below what is required for the company to stay competitive. Engineering (product development) and sales & marketing are way underfunded with little or no market-focused direction.
