Confusion, disorganization & competing sales teams

Pros

Great benefits package, work from home, flexibility with hours/scheduling, GREAT people work with Edmentum and parts of the products are great as well.

Cons

Management is very disconnected from what's actually going on. Different sales teams sell different products, causing confusion/competition and tons of overlap. Lack of an elementary curriculum solution for years, and they're behind the ball on development in comparison to competitors. Constant dramatic changes in commission and sales structure/territories means earning potential changes in a big way year to year, and you have no say in the changes made that affect you. Edmentum values money over customer needs and satisfaction so you'll be pushed to sell things the customer doesn't need simply to bring in more money. You'll then be held accountable if that customer is unhappy. If you do too well, they raise your quota and lower your commission. If you don't meet quota, you're put on a performance plan and fired- neither of these retain sales professionals year over year. TONS of employee turnover because of these issues linked with the fact that most employees aren't listened to and are extremely underpaid and under-valued.

Where to start. ....heavy handed managers. Micro managing, endless reports. Not reinvesting in product which is dated and old.

Pros

The schedule is flexible and offers amazing work life balance. It has been the best experience to balance work and homeschooling my own children. If you are self motived its easy to get ahead and work half days. Benefits are great.

Cons

They are very political. They do NOT like conservatives and will trash talk ideas that come from conservative leaders. They are big on all things woke so if that is your jam, you will likely feel very comfortable here. If you are not, you will likely feel very uncomfortable and that you are hated by your company and would likely be fired if it was known what you think.
