Biased and Depressing

Pros

The students and Edmonds are hard-working. The librarians are very helpful and are a pleasure to work with.

Cons

There is no upward mobility for part-time faculty. You’ll stay part time, no contract, for as long as they can keep you there. They talk a lot about diversity and not being biased and open mindedness, but that’s not the case. In more than one department meeting, political views have been derided, this is coming from department chairs.

Helping students when you can.

Cons

Staff is checked out and stressed, because they're underpaid, unsupported, overworked and unappreciated. Singh micromanages everything, because his focus is all about budget and not about student needs and staff support. CTC link is driving everyone crazy, and the staff that actually cares about student success is deeply discouraged and burnt out.
