Business Outlook
Pros
The union is strong and supportive. My administrator is flexible, accommodating, and understanding. The pay is pretty good compared with other districts. We have good tri pay.
Cons
At the secondary level, any students who ask are placed in honors. This waters down the honors curriculum and leaves the gen ed classes with few enthusiastic or academically inclined students. The lack of student engagement is highly demoralizing. Curriculum is often non-existent, which can be good or bad, depending on how much guidance you like in your teaching.
