Pros
I was an implementation specialist at Education Dynamics. The issues started as soon as I was hired. What I thought was an amazing interview with an amazing group of people and a reasonable and supportive future manager turned out to be the exact opposite. My coworkers were wonderful, supportive and helpful, however my manager was a nightmare and one heck of a toxic individual, whereas in the interview he demonstrated himself as being supportive and reasonable. Luckily, he was fired about 3 months into my position due to a ‘layoff’. I was then moved to a different team a few months later with a remote manager (I was in NJ, he was in FL.) The team was helpful and communicated well and it seemed to be going well. I was transitioned and trained and did my best in the new role. Fast forward a few months later, and the decision was made to make my teammate our team lead. The nightmare started all over again. This team member, when made team lead, started on her quest to have me fired. I was put on a PIP directly after going to HR with a personal issue. Instead of advocating and helping me they went behind me and talked to my team lead and previous manager to find a way to manage me out of the company. Long story short - toxic work environment, HR here is your enemy, and political gains over employee satisfaction over all. Joke is on them, within 2 months of being laid off, I obtained a position paying me 60% more than I was paid here. Best thing that could ever happened to me, thanks Eddy!
Cons
HR, Politics, leadership, toxic managers, and toxic hateful team members being made into team leads to ensure demise of rest of team.
