Be wary

Pros

Efficient and helpful staff at some points of the process.

Cons

Unfortunately the recruitment agents when you initially sign up with the agency are purposefully misleading. You will be told that Edustaff will cover your food and travel expenses but this is untrue (these will simply not be taxed). Edustaff and their payroll company RACs take a hefty chunk out of your weekly pay. Pay is also not calculated based on hours worked, the timesheet has boxes for 'morning' and 'evening' so you end up working many more hours than you receive pay for. If you are working as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant you will end up with less than minimum wage. You can be dropped by your school with no notice and if you are too unwell to come in to school you will not be paid, giving you no job security whatsoever. Unfortunately companies like this can afford to treat their staff as disposable because it can be so hard to get jobs, but just be a little wary that the conditions of work are not as rosy as Edustaff employees will make out to you. If at all possible, find work without going through Edustaff.

We apologize for any misleading information that you may have received from and EDUStaff representative or school district. No where is EDUStaff's policies does it say that the company will cover any travel or food costs, unless a school district has made arrangements with its sub employees.
