Pros

Some Financial Advisors allow you to work remotely occasionally, but not all. Mine did not.

Cons

Financial Advisors have levels, which range 0 through 10. I was told I would be bonused on Production of the FA but that was not true. Mine was only a level 3 though she had been there 8 yrs. Bonuses are paid to BOAs when the FA is a level 5 or higher. I would never recommend working for a level 0 through 4 since the hourly wage is so low.

Pros

Each day is different. Get to interact with wonderful clients and manage the office.

Cons

Know upfront that this is a dead end job where you will work long hours and shoulder a lot of responsibility for very low pay. At this branch you will work late into the night and also saturdays and often holidays.FA is a severe workaholic who doesn’t give enough support or credit. In the words of a part timer who quit after just 4 months: “nothing I do will ever be good enough. “The environment is toxic.” FA holds back BOAs from getting more training and advancing to take on some tasks that require a series 7. FA is NOT at all empathetic to your life crises. The P&L is more important. If numbers in the branch go down, it is never because the FA spends too much time with each client. After 3 hours people want to leave already but the meeting goes on ad nauseum! I was fired the day after I returned from 1 month FMLA for my grown child’s very serious health problem. I walked and was fired for many pretextual reasons, none of which were valid. Another branch may be better but since Penny Pennington took over, the BOAs get a lot less recognition, appreciation and compensation barely keeps up with industry. If you absolutely are desperate for a job and you don’t care about having any work life balance, work here. I suggest you look elsewhere first. Anywhere else. You literally can make more at Home Depot.

Pros

Great At first, probably depends on your FA

Cons

Horrible HR department. Associate relations will always side with FA so don’t bother going to them.
