Pros

Excellent Training at the home office. The training is very structured and provides some good information. Good work/home balance. Excellent support from the regional leader. Lots of freedom with little or no supervision. Excellent professionalwebsite . Excellent literature(if you can afford it)

Cons

"Door Knocking" is a not a good use of time and is a non effective sales/marketing method for the Northeast, especially for a new FA attempting to establish a new office. The odds of success are very low using this method. The sales/marketing approach must be changed. The company is not well known here and in today's climate people on the "other side of the door" have an issue trusting anyone from "Wall Street." The Field Trainer(s) should be more involved and available for assistance. In closing, be prepared to do alot of "cold walking/door knocking" for little or no reward. Bring some dog treats to prevent being attacked by a dog. If you have the financial resources to last a few years to get established you have a chance to succeed. If not...... you will end up like most.... forced to throw in the towel and work for a firm that is more established( brand awareness) and one that has a modern and effective sales/marketing approach . This is crucial for a new FA to have a chance to succeed. Good Luck !!

Pros

Training good. Great place to get Series 7 & 66. Product offering very soild. Branch set-up unique and suited.

Cons

Timelines for success limited and tight. A numbers game with clients as profit targets are pushed to the hilt. Always seemed under the gun. They watch the numbers day by day, and sit on performance at all cost. You can be gone fast if you are not making your numbers. Firm FAs work scared, and seem very unhappy. Few make it! 85% failure rate before year four. After that it even drops off more. Takes your life away if you let it. Must give it your all as this is a high energy high fail rate environment. No money for years. Lucky to make 30k first year, and 50k may be a dream year two. Not many make big money. Even from those that make three to six years money too low.

Pros

Benefits are good, but salary is too small. Overall work environment is OK at headquarters. Employee turnover is high though.

Cons

Many new hires leave after few months of working there. Interviews are very exhausting and lengthy. Salaries are not great.
