Pros

Strict 9-5, I never get called after hours like I used to at my last job. Hybrid Schedule Good for new grads, I only had about 3 years of experience when I first got hired.

Cons

Pay is lower that other financial services and the bonus is very very low, no incentives. They talk a lot about diversity here but there is no diverse leadership unless you just blanket count women. Not a single person of color on the senior leadership team in human capital, and they are supposed to be the ones owning diversity. The recent org design was poorly managed, I lost my leader with no notice.

Pros

>Short commute time >Decent Support System >Connecting and growing with your clients

Cons

>Average Benefits >Low Salary- with no real chance to increase it >You will take ownership of your office and building. Your FA will likely be out most of the time. You will mostly be alone in your branch. You cant just walk over to another cubical and ask for help. This is your island to own. Should any issues come up, any at all, you will be the first line of defense. You need to be prepared for that. >No real chance to grow in your career unless you want to become an FA or drive out to Missouri. >Ultimately, your experience will ultimately be determined by who your FA is. Really, really, really try to understand your FA (your potential new boss) during those initial interviews before you commit to this role. You and your FA will be the only employees in the branch most of the time. Is this someone you yourself want to collaborate and grow with for 5-6 days a week? Think about it very carefully.

Pros

Working in my hometown just minutes away from home.

Cons

Terrible pay compared to FA’s when we do as much work or more. The FA’s get big commissions, bonuses and big trips thru travel award program. We get a fraction of compensation that is contingent on how well you get along with the FA.
