Pros

Training is second to none for new FAs. The firm offers ample support for its new advisors. Personally, I loved working for a conservative firm -- didn't get caught up in risky investment vehicles like some of it's big name competition.

Cons

Knock, knock. Who's there? You got it, there's a whole heck of a lot of door knocking. It's most definitely not for everyone. Also, the beginning salary is small and short-lived!

Pros

Great name recongition. Excellent sales training. Excellent training for Series 7 license. Excellent support from veteran FAs. Help with some salary the first year. Overall good culture.

Cons

6 - 8 hours a day of door knocking over a period of 2 years can be phycially challenging. Make your number or you are gone - no discussion. Not enough training on investing, financial planning etc.
